What Is It?
This technology is called VOIP (Voice over IP) and is also referred to as Broadband Phone Service. Unlike some other broadband phone services, our service allows you to make calls and receive calls from anyone, from anywhere, whether they use a broadband phone service or traditional phone service.
Quantumvoice uses a standard telephone number, the same as any regular telephone line. You can receive calls as normal from anyone in the world who has your telephone number, and likewise, you can place calls to anywhere in the world.
The sound quality will be just as good as using a POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) line - at a much lower cost to you.
A phone adapter called an Analog Terminal Adapter (ATA) is a small device that plugs into your home internet network and converts voice traffic into data traffic. This data traffic then travels across the internet to the end point and is then converted back to voice. Your regular telephone plugs into the ATA and does not require any special hardware. Once you have plugged a regular telephone into the ATA, you are ready to make and receive calls.

Portable Service: Since the phone number is assigned to the phone adapter (ATA), the phone number stays the same no matter where you are! Do you travel a lot? You can plug in your ATA and phone at any location offering high-speed access (hotel, office, cruise ship, condo, time share) and enjoy the convenience of placing and receiving calls as if you were at home.
Don't feel like carrying your ATA with you but you will have your laptop computer with you? Use a softphone client on your laptop to make and receive calls.
Great Standard Features: Our service comes with many standard features that traditional phone service typically charges extra for. These standard features include voicemail, caller ID, and call waiting.
